When your account is private, other members see your username and Human Score, but your post and comment histories are hidden.
Download a copy of what we hold about you: your profile, posts, replies, chats you are in, friends, blocks, votes and notifications, as one file you can keep.
To make automated accounts harder to run, the app watches a few simple behaviour signals while you write a post: pasted text, an impossible typing speed, a hidden trap field that only bots fill in, and posting in rapid bursts. We never keep what you typed for this check. The only thing stored is the risk score below, on your profile. At 5 out of 5, posting pauses until you solve a short code.

Blocked members can't appear in your feed, replies, chats, live chat, notifications or calls. You can block someone from their profile card.

Reports are reviewed by our moderators, usually within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed and repeat offenders lose their account. To stop seeing someone, open their profile and tap Block.
To report a post, a reply or a person instead, use Report on that post or on their profile.

Turing's Gate is invite-only, and a few layers make spam and fake accounts harder to run here. None of them is perfect on its own, so reports from members still matter.
While you write a post we look at a few simple behaviour signals: whether the text was pasted, an impossible typing speed, a hidden trap field that only bots fill in, and posting in rapid bursts. We never keep what you typed for this check, only a risk score from 0 to 5 on your profile (you can see it in Settings > Privacy). Reaching 5 pauses posting until you solve a short code.
Signing up and signing in go through Cloudflare Turnstile, an automatic check that stops most scripted sign-ups. You usually won't notice it.
Every table has row-level rules: nothing can be written without signing in, you can only change your own things, and rate limits slow down floods.
To make mass sign-ups hard, every member has three invite slots, and a slot refills 30 days after it is used. The database enforces this limit. Invites record who introduced whom, and moderators can flag a whole chain of accounts that turns out to be spam.
You can lock your chats so that only the people in them can read the text, not even Turing's Gate. Turn it on in Settings > Privacy. It is optional, works in direct and group chats once everyone has turned it on, and uses a recovery passphrase you choose. If someone in a chat has not turned it on, the app asks before it sends a message without encryption. Photos are not encrypted, and reporting an encrypted message hands the text you see to our moderators. Read how it works and its limits.
